263 seats of private colleges not filled yet, third phase allotment result on 29th September
Latest Updated 28/09/2023: The process of admission is going on in the medical colleges of the state. This is the first time that even after two phases of enrollment, 40 percent seats in government medical colleges remain vacant. This time after two phases of nomination, 597 seats are left. Even in an institute like NMCH, 74 seats are vacant after two rounds of enrollment. The nomination process is going on by BCECEB.
Out of 1206 seats in government medical colleges, 597 seats remain vacant. For the first time, 85 percent of the medical and dental seats in the state have remained vacant in such a large number of seats in government medical colleges in the third phase.
Out of 1050 seats in private colleges, only 263 seats are vacant. This time there has been a change in the nomination process. Instead of government seats, seats in private medical colleges have been filled earlier. If we look at the records of previous nominations, there were hardly 100 seats left after the two phases. In this also the seats of PMCH and NMCH were filled first.

Registration for admission on vacant seats till today
BCECEB has announced that for the third phase, registration and choice will be filled till 11.59 minutes on Thursday for a total of 1093 vacant seats including MBBS, Dental and Veterinary. The third round of seat allotment will be released on September 29. Admission will be on 30th September.
Seats remained vacant due to excess enrollment under central quota
Director of Medical Examination Special Goal, Bipin Kumar Singh said that BCECEB has started the nomination process with delay. Students have left the state quota and enrolled under the central quota.
