Latest Updated 22/08/2023: Practical classes have been made compulsory in all secondary and higher secondary schools of the state. In this regard, instructions have been issued to all district education offices four days in advance. Now in 11th and 12th, five theoretical and four practical classes will run every day.
There will be 9 classes every day for the main 3 subjects of all the three faculties. There will be 5 theory papers and four practical papers. Apart from this, classes on one or the other subject from language, additional subjects, sports and library will be held every day.
Classes for 8 subjects will run every day in ninth and tenth. Classes of Mathematics, Science, Hindi, English will be organized before lunch & after that classes of Social Science, Sanskrit, Library & optional subjects will be conducted. Sports classes will also be held 2 days a week on Tuesday & Thursday in 9th and 10th.
Tell that till now the school timings of the complete state were the same, but the subject-wise determination of the classes was completed by the principal. It has been changed. Now, the same classes will run in all the schools of the state from 9th to 12th. In this regard, Patna's District Education Officer Amit Kumar said that practical classes have now been made compulsory in every school. Schools will have to run the practical classes along with theory. Every subject has to be studied mandatory every day.
Will be inspected
In the inspection of the schools, it will be checked whether the studies of the fixed subjects are being done keeping in mind the time table or not. Whether practical classes run or not. Inspection can also be done after lunch. Students will also be asked about this
Theoretical classes of all the faculties of class 11th & 12th will continue till lunch. After lunch there will be 3 practical classes. It includes Physics, Chemistry & Biology. Practical classes for these 3 subjects will be held every day. Apart from this, sports, language, additional subjects & library classes in 11th and 12th will also be held on different days after lunch. Till now the school routine don't include practical classes. Earlier only theory was taught, but now it has been made compulsory to conduct practical classes every day.

It has also been decided how many classes will be conduct for which subject in government schools from Monday to Saturday. In class IX & X, 5 each of Hindi and English, 6 each of Mathematics & Science, 5 each of Social Science and Sanskrit, 4 of sports, 5 of additional subjects & 3 of library classes are compulsory from Monday to Saturday.
