Latest Updated 22/08/2023: Students of B.Ed and ITI will have to wait for a few more days to get loan under Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme.

The decision was taken by the education department in July. On 3 August, the districts were directed to decide the maximum amount of loan to be given on these courses, but till now the work of receiving applications has not started. In this regard, the departmental officials say that the list of B.Ed and ITI institutes is yet to be uploaded on the concerned portal. Its action is going on. In which institutions (college) students studying can take advantage of this scheme, it will be decided first. Only after this, online applications will be received from the students.
The official also told that those studying in all government institutions will get loans under this scheme. Standards have been fixed regarding private institutions. Along with this, applications have also been sought from the institutions in this regard.
Students of five grade private ITIs will get a chance to get 52 thousand loan as fee for two years ITI course. 26 thousand annually. In this, a maximum loan of two lakh will be given by adding laptop and living expenses. Loan for ITI course will be available only to the students of those private institutions which have got National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) recognition and their final grading is five or above.
