Latest Updated 29/08/2023: The Education Department is strict about teachers and personnel who are absent from schools without prior permission. In the last two months, the salary of six thousand teachers has been deducted in this matter. At the same time, during this period 55 teachers have been suspended in various cases including absenteeism.
Schools across the state are being inspected from 1 July. The department has issued an order to inspect every school at least twice a week. Along with this, the report of inspection from the districts is also being received daily by the department through the districts. Districts have been directed that not only the teachers found absent in the inspection, but also the action taken on them should be reported to the department.

The reports received from the districts show that in the four districts of the state, East Champaran, Jamui, Sheohar and Saran, since July 1, the salary of not even a single teacher has been deducted. On the other hand, salaries of two teachers in Bhagalpur district, three in Arwal and nine each in Khagaria and Rohtas have been cut. In other districts, salaries of 10 to 300 teachers have been deducted.

More suspension in Sitamarhi
Of the 55 teachers who have been suspended, almost half of them are from the same district, Sitamarhi. Banka district is on the second number, where six teachers have been suspended. At the same time, not a single teacher of 24 districts has been suspended.
