Prohibition on Salary of Vice Chancellor (Shailendra Kumar Chaturvedi) and Pro Vice Chancellor (Ravindra Kumar) of BRA Bihar University Muzaffarpur latest news update 2023

Latest Updated 18/08/2023: Vice Chancellor of Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University, (BRA) Muzaffarpur Prof. Shailendra Kumar Chaturvedi and Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Ravindra Kumar's salary has been stopped. The Education Department has issued an order to stop the salary on Thursday. The department has also informed about this to the Raj Bhavan.

The department has taken this action alleging that the colleges were not inspected in the light of instructions of the department & did not show promptness in organizing the pending examinations. Along with this, the department has also taken this step for not attending the pre-scheduled meeting on Thursday under the chairmanship of KK Pathak, Additional Chief Secretary (CS) of the department. 

For the first time after taking over the office of Mr. Pathak, the salary of a Vice-Chancellor has been stopped. On Thursday, a meeting of all the office bearers including the Vice Chancellor of Magadh University was held. In the meeting, all the office bearers were instructed to inspect the colleges regularly. Ensure publication of results by conducting pending examinations soon. State universities are being reviewed by the department after holding separate meetings.

Action on DPO of Darbhanga-Gopalganj also

Salaries of DPOs (Comprehensive Education) of Darbhanga and Gopalganj have been stopped in view of not making good progress in the overall education band. This action has been taken on the instructions of B Kartikeya Dhanji, State Project Director of Bihar State Education Project Council.

Salary of Sitamarhi and Shivhar's DEO-DPO closed

The Education Department has stopped the salaries of all DPOs and POs, including the District Education Officers (DEOs) of Sitamarhi and Sheohar, due to negligence in works and slow progress in the implementation of schemes. The department has issued an order in this regard on Thursday.
