Guidelines released for 2024 Board Exams


Latest Updated 30/08/2023: Bihar Board has given 15 percent relaxation in attendance to the candidates of Matriculation and Inter Annual Examination 2024. By February 2024, if the attendance of students is 60 percent instead of 75, then they will get a chance to appear in matriculation and inter exams. However, the board has made 75 per cent attendance mandatory in schools in class 9th and 11th. Students whose attendance will not be 75 percent will not be allowed to appear in the 9th and 11th annual examination 2024. Bihar Board has issued this guideline to the schools.


According to the Bihar Board, a student with less than 60% attendance in matriculation and intermediate examination will not be given a chance to appear in the examination. But, on medical grounds, examinees suffering from serious illness like cancer, AIDS, TB will also get relaxation in 60 per cent attendance. Most schools in the state were skeptical about the fact that 75 per cent attendance was only for classes 10 and 12. There is no guideline regarding 75% attendance in class 9th and 11th. Regarding this, the Bihar Board has clarified that 75% attendance is mandatory in class 10th and 12th as well as in class 9th and 11th.

Bihar Board will take details of attendance in February


The Bihar Board will take details of the attendance of students from all the schools in February for the attendance of the students in class 9th and 11th. Students who will not have 75% attendance will be informed about it through the school. The list of such students will also be released on the board website.
