The government will also give a scholarship of Rs 5,000 per month to those doing MD-MS and PhD in medicine. Medical Education and Health Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat made this announcement at the convocation ceremony of HNB Medical University in Doon on Monday. He said that the government is going to take a decision in this regard soon. The government will also provide insurance for MBBS and PG students.
For 5000 nursing students abroad, the Minister said that the auditorium is ready in Doon, Srinagar, Almora Medical Colleges. Now convocations will not be held in rented premises from next year. Government Medical College in Haridwar will start from 2024, Rudrapur from 2026, Pithoragarh from 2027. A target of 5,000 jobs has been set for nursing students abroad. Three thousand nursing staff will be placed within three months. The specialist cadre of doctors is going to be separate. Giving six lakhs to the super specialist and Rs 4.5 lakh per month to the specialist.
