Education Department withdraws the advertisement for the appointment of VC of 7 Universities of Bihar latest news update 2023
Latest Updated 26/08/2023: The Education Department on Friday withdrew the advertisement for the appointment of vice-chancellors of seven state universities. Vibhan published this advertisement in newspapers on 22 August.
Whereas, the advertisement for the appointment of Vice-Chancellors of these seven universities was issued by the Raj Bhavan in the first week of August itself. There was a situation of conflict between the Raj Bhavan and the Education Department regarding this, which has now come to an end. It may be known that on August 23, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar went to Raj Bhavan and met Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar. There were talks between the two on various matters of higher education and universities of the state.
Since then it was believed that the differences between the Raj Bhavan and the Education Department would end soon. The seven universities whose advertisements for vice-chancellors have been withdrawn include Patna University, Aryabhatta Knowledge University, CASDS University, BRA Bihar University, BN Mandal University, LNM University and JP University.

However, the matter is still going on between the Raj Bhavan and the Education Department on the formation of the search committee regarding the appointment of the Vice-Chancellor. Education Department and Raj Bhavan have been asked to send the names of their representatives to each other for the committee. In such a situation, a final decision is yet to be taken on who will constitute the search committee. Talks are going on regarding this.
