Correction in 6340 errors from 1st to 8th by SCERT Bihar latest news update 2023
Latest Updated 10/08/2023: The State Council of Education Research and Training (SCERT) has once again corrected the inaccuracies in the books. In this, there were a total of 1137 errors in textbooks from 1st to 5th, while 5203 errors were removed from 6th to 8th.
In the upcoming academic session 2024-25, error free text books will be available to the children. After error correction, printing of books has been started from Bihar State Text Book Publishing Corporation Limited, Patna. SCERT had formed a team of subject experts for this. A total of 85 books from classes I to VIII were reviewed. After this the error correction was started. SCERT has done error correction in two phases. In the first phase, 1200 errors were rectified. Most of the history and Urdu books had mistakes.

Urdu had the highest number of errors in 1 to 5 at 321. There were 235 inaccuracies in the history and Urdu books of Class VI. There were 485 mistakes in science and 346 in history in seventh. There were 826 inaccuracies in the Civics of VIII. According to SCERT, 987 errors have been rectified in Class VI textbooks, 1795 in Class VII and 2421 in Class VIII books.
