Central government says students able to give board exams twice a year latest news update 2023
Latest Updated 24/08/2023: The Ministry of Education has prepared a new 'National Curriculum Framework' (NCF) for school education. Under this, the board exam will be held twice a year. Students will get the option to retain the best marks in it.
According to the NCF, students of class 9th and 10th will have to study three languages, of which two will be Indian languages. Students of class 11th and 12th have to study two languages, out of which at least one language should be Indian. The NCF states that seven subjects will be compulsory for class 9-10, while six subjects will be compulsory for class 11-12. Former ISRO chief K.
According to the NCF prepared by the committee headed by Kasturirangan, the school boards will develop the capacity to conduct examinations on demand in due course. Based on the new 'Curriculum Framework', text books will be prepared for the 2024 session.
