Breaking News: IRCTC Server stalled for 10 hours, booking stuck
Latest Updated 26/07/2023: IRCTC website and mobile app facility remained suspended for about 10:30 hours on Tuesday. Because of this people could not book tickets. Railways called it a technical glitch and later the ticket book facility was restored.
To make matters worse for the passengers, the Automatic Ticket Vending Machine also developed a technical glitch. Due to this the Unreserved Ticket Purchase System (UTS) was disrupted. Some complained that they faced difficulties in reserving tickets through IRCTC's partners as well. IRCTC confirmed the technical glitch by tweeting. Advised to book tickets from Amazon, MakeMyTrip and other platforms. There was a glitch on the website late night from 4:56 pm to 1:28 pm.
Ticket not reserved after money deducted
Some people claimed that when they tried to book tickets through the website and app, the money was deducted from the account but the ticket was not reserved. One person tweeted, I booked tickets today. I tried five times but tickets were not booked. My Rs 10,000 is under process (stranded).
