Breaking News: Dhami government will develop 2 New Hill Stations in UK Uttarakhand
Latest Updated 10/07/2023: The state government is also trying to make an admin city in Raipur of Dehradun. For this, the housing department has fixed the boundaries of the city from Raipur to Thano Road in the north, from Raipur to Main Haridwar Road in the south, leaving the Ordinance Factory boundary in the west till Haridwar Road, in the east to Bhopalpani, Badasigrant, Kali Mati village of Doonghati MahaYojana. Has done Presently declaring it as a freeze zone, a master plan is being prepared for it. The land adjacent to the Sports College in Raipur has been marked for the assembly building. Now the place is being marked for residential buildings nearby. Accordingly, along with the road, other infrastructure facilities will be developed here. Dhami government will develop two new hill stations in Uttarakhand
The state government is preparing to develop one hill station each in Garhwal and Kumaon divisions. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has instructed the officers to select the place for this.
No hill station has been developed in Uttarakhand after the British period. There is constant pressure of tourists on Mussoorie, Lansdowne, Nainital and Ranikhet. At the same time, there is not enough space left in these cities to develop it further by doing other construction work there. Random construction works have also affected the beautification of these cities.

The government's intention behind building new hill stations is to introduce tourists to other tourist spots of Uttarakhand. Due to this, employment opportunities will increase in front of the local people, while migration will also be curbed. The Chief Minister has instructed Secretaries Shailesh Bagoli and Vinay Shankar Pandey to select one such place each in the hilly areas of both the mandals, where there are possibilities of developing hill stations.

There are many places in the mountain which are full of natural beauty, but these places do not have basic facilities as well as standard hotels to stay. Gairsain, Gwaldam, Chakrata, Chopta, Pratapnagar, Khirsu, Chaukhutia, Kausani, Champawat, Takul Baseli etc. are many such places which can be developed as hill stations in future.
