Breaking News: Civil Court Ranchi imposed a fine of 500 Rupees on Actress Amisha Patel
Latest Updated 27/07/2023: The court has imposed a cost of Rs 500 on actress Ameesha Patel, who is facing trial in a check bounce case. On Wednesday, testimony was conducted on behalf of complainant Ajay Kumar Singh in the court. While Ameesha Patel's lawyer sought time, the court imposed damages.
During the hearing, Bijayalakshmi Srivastava, counsel for the complainant, also opposed Ameesha's counsel seeking time for cross-examination. Also requested to cancel Ameesha's bail. The amount of damages imposed on Ameesha can be deposited with Nazarat or the complainant. Along with this, the date of next hearing of the case was fixed on 7 August. The witness will be cross-examined on that day.
Case was registered in check bounce on 17 November 2018
On 17 November 2018, Ajay Kumar Singh filed a case against Ameesha Patel in the court in the check bounce case. Ameesha is accused of extorting Rs 2.5 crore in the name of making the film Desi Magic. According to the agreement, money was demanded if the film was not made. On this, in October 2018, two checks of Rs 2.5 crore and Rs 50 lakh were given by him, which had bounced. After this Ajay Singh filed a case.
