Breaking News: CBI probe into Manipur's viral video begins
Latest Updated 30/07/2023: The CBI on Saturday took over the investigation in the Manipur viral video case by registering an FIR. On 4 May, the case of alleged sexual harassment of two women came to light.
Officials said that on the instructions of the Union Home Ministry, the case has been handed over to the CBI. The probe agency is already probing six cases related to the Manipur violence. Police had registered a case of kidnapping, gangrape, murder against unknown armed persons in Thoubal district on May 18. CBI has started investigation on the basis of FIR.
MPs of opposition parties reached relief camps
Delegation of opposition MPs visited camps in Imphal, Churachandpur. Adhir Ranjan along with MPs reached Churachandpur, while the other team reached Imphal East camp.
