Books will be changed from 2025 under New Education Policy (NEP) in the Schools of Jharkhand latest news update 2023
Latest Updated 19/07/2023: Classes will run in government schools of Jharkhand from 2025 as per the New Education Policy (NEP). Text books will also change accordingly. The Central Government will release the National Framework by August, after which the State Governments will also have to prepare the syllabus accordingly. Jharkhand will have to prepare the syllabus according to the new syllabus by 2024, which can be implemented from the new academic session starting April in 2025.
In the new education policy, education up to Class 12 has been included in school education, but it is divided separately. The first five years will consist of 3 years of pre-primary school.
While for the first and second there will be two years of foundation school. After this, three years from third to fifth will come in the primary. Whereas, three years from sixth to eighth will be in middle (upper primary).
Apart from this, secondary education will be of four years. It will have classes from ninth to 12th. Students will be able to get this education in the same school. It will not require Science, Arts, Commerce stream. Students will be able to keep the subject according to their interest.

Before this, the examinations from 1st to 12th will have to be completed, so that the students can read the new syllabus and text books in the academic session starting from April 2025.

Team formed under the leadership of JCERT
After the release of the new syllabus framework by the central government, the Jharkhand government will constitute a team under the leadership of the Jharkhand Council of Educational Research and Training (JCERT). In this, along with subject experts, school teachers of the concerned subject will also be engaged to prepare new syllabus. The curriculum will be prepared in such a way that the students can understand it easily.
Chief Minister is also serious
Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren is serious about school education. Recently, in the review of the Department of School Education and Literacy, he made it clear that with the commencement of the new academic session, it should be ensured that school children are given the benefit of textbooks, uniforms and scholarship. In the current session 2023-24, text books have not reached all the children. The process to give uniform and scholarship has not even started....
