Latest Updated 01/07/2023: UP Power Corporation Management has increased the amount of ex-gratia to the relatives of the personnel (workers) working through outsourced agency in case of death due to electrical accident. Now immediate assistance of Rs 7.5 lakh will be given to the next of kin on death during operation of sub-stations and line repair during duty.
Chairman M. Devraj told on Friday that according to the decision of May 2017, there was a provision to give five lakh rupees to the next of kin on death. The outsourced agency has been asked to provide group accident insurance of Rs 7.5 lakh to the workers. Insurance expenses, premium paying agency will be done.
