Pay Scale up to 5200 to 20,200 Rupees
The appointment of assistant professors in the state will not be done on the old pay scale of 9300-34,800 and grade pay of 4200. Their appointment will be on the pay scale of 5200-20,200 and grade pay of 2400-2800. On this basis, the assistant professor who will be reinstated in primary schools will get a salary of 26 thousand and the assistant professor who will be appointed in middle schools will get a salary of 28 thousand. The old pay scale teachers used to get Rs 40,000 at the time of appointment.
The way has been cleared for the appointment of 50 thousand assistant teachers in primary schools of Jharkhand. Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission will take out its advertisement in June itself. State approval was given to the Assistant Professor Cadre (Appointment, Promotion and Service Conditions) (Amendment) Rules, 2023 for elementary schools in the state cabinet meeting on Wednesday.
Now from June itself, the process of appointment of 50,000 assistant teachers in primary and middle schools (schools of classes I to VIII) will start. In the first phase, 25,996 assistant professors will be appointed, while in the second phase, 24,004 assistant professors will be reinstated.
After the approval of the rules, now the School Education and Literacy Department will send the recommendation of appointment to the Personnel Department in the first or second week of June. In this, along with the report of roster clearance of district-wise posts, revised rules will be sent. On receipt of the recommendation from the Education Department, the Personnel Department will send the requisition for appointment to the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission, after which the JSSC will issue an advertisement for the appointment. JSSC will start the process of taking online applications from July.
