Latest Updated 09/06/2023: Suspended government officials and personnel of Bihar will not mark their attendance through biometrics during suspension. Along with these, the officers and personnel waiting for posting have also been exempted from registering biometric attendance.
In this regard, the Special Branch of the Home Department has given instructions by writing letters to the Additional Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary, Secretary, DGP, all Heads of Departments, Divisional Commissioners, DMs, SSPs etc. of all departments. Citing a letter written by the General Administration Department in January, the Home Department has said that the provision for registering the presence of suspended government servants at the designated headquarters already exists, there is no need to issue any separate instructions for this.
Similarly, provision has been made by the Finance Department to register the attendance of the officials and workers waiting for posting in the prescribed register. Guidance was sought from the Home Department for registering biometric attendance by departments and government offices.
