Breaking News: Patna's 91 ultrasound centers sealed
Latest Updated 09/06/2023: 91 ultrasound centers operating in Patna district were sealed on Thursday. All these were operating illegally and the PNDT Act was not being followed. This action has been taken by the subdivisional officers on the instructions of DM Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh.
In the last week of May, DM formed 37 different teams and got 532 ultrasound centers operated in Patna district examined. The officials had found large scale irregularities at the ultrasound centres. After brainstorming with health department officials, there are 91 ultrasounds which are not operable. That's why he instructed all the sub-divisional officers to seal the ultrasound centers in their area.
These centers are Kankarbagh, Boring Road, Nala Road, Paliganj, Masodhi, Ashok Rajpath, Fatuha, Zakir Hussain Road, Sultanganj, Main Road Daniyawan, Rajendra Nagar, Phulwarisharif, Patliputra Colony, Buddha Colony, Govind Mitra Road, Bhikhana Pahari, Fraser Road, Brahma The local street is in Sheikhpura, Ashiana-Digha Road. Officials say that some remaining centers will be sealed on Friday.
