Breaking News: Supreme Court says Railways not responsible for theft of passenger's luggage
Latest Updated 17/06/2023: The Supreme Court said in a decision that the Railways have no responsibility if the luggage of a railway passenger is stolen. Saying this, the court canceled the order of the Consumer Commission to compensate the stolen cash.
The court said that the Cheri in the train is not negligent in its service. A bench headed by Justice Vikram Nath said that if the passenger is not able to protect his luggage then how is the Railways responsible.
