Latest Updated 08/06/2023: In the Balasore train accident, the death toll of the passengers of Bihar has reached fifty. This information was given in the bulletin issued by the Disaster Management Department on Wednesday. 19 passengers from Bihar are still missing. 43 passengers are being treated in various hospitals in Odisha.
The missing passengers include four passengers from Madhubani, two each from Darbhanga, Samastipur, East Champaran, Muzaffarpur, Sitamarhi, Begusarai, Patna, Gaya, Purnia, Sheikhpura and Siwan. The Disaster Management Department says that the Balasore District Administration of Odisha is coordinating with the Odisha administration to identify the missing passengers.

DNA samples of the dead bodies kept in the hospitals have been done there. With this, the DNA samples of the claiming relatives will be matched. On Wednesday, samples of 12 relatives present in AIIMS Bhubaneswar were taken for DNA test.
