Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami made this announcement while distributing appointment letters to the youths selected in the recently completed recruitment for 1425 posts of police constables. On Tuesday, he gave appointment letters to 55 youths in the police line. Other selected were given appointment letters from their respective districts.


Addressing the function, the Chief Minister said that out of about 3,000 vacant posts of police constables, the recruitment process will be started soon for the remaining 1,550 posts. Connecting the tourism sector with the police, the CM said that the population of the state is 1.25 crore, but about four times as many tourists come here every year. In such a situation, the police have the responsibility of providing security to six crore people. The CM said that work is also being done to make the police modern and smart. Referring to the anti-copying law, he said that the parents invest money on the child, educate him. It is not right at all that promising children should be deprived of their right to get an appointment. It has been decided by the anti-copying law that the child gets his rights.

DGP Ashok Kumar said that at present about three thousand posts of police constable were vacant in Uttarakhand. The last police constable recruitment process was held in the year 2016. Since then there were no new recruitments. Recently, completing the recruitment process, a selection list has been issued for 1425 posts. On this occasion, ACS Radha Raturi, ADG Abhinav Kumar, IG Garhwal Range Karan Singh Nagnyal, DIG Dehradun Dalip Singh Kunwar, SSP Haridwar Ajay Singh, SP Traffic Akshay Konde, SP Crime Sarvesh Panwar, SP City Sarita Dobal, SP Dehat Kamlesh Upadhyay and others. Dependents of ex-servicemen recruited in army pre-training from 13 June


Those dependents of ex-servicemen, who are willing to join the army, will be given special training for 56 days by the Sainik Welfare Department. Applications have been invited for this pre-recruitment training camp which is going to start from June 13 in Dehradun. In this regard, Colonel (Senior) BS Rawat, director in-charge of Directorate of Sainik Welfare and Rehabilitation said, the department will bear the entire cost of the training. The youth selected for training will be given all the necessary information and physical training for recruitment in the army. Colonel Rawat said that this year a joint camp is being organized for Kumaon and Garhwal. Expert personnel of the army will give written test and other technical information to the youth. Along with regular fitness training, they will also be prepared for medical tests. Youth willing to participate in the training can apply through the Sainik Welfare Department of their district.
