Registration for Admission in IIT-NIT Patna from 19 June latest news update 2023


Joint Seat Allocation Authority has released the date of counseling, the seat allotment result of the first round will be released on 30 June

Latest Updated 08/06/2023: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has released the date for enrollment in the country's prestigious institute IIT, NIT, Triple IT. Through this, counseling will be done for enrollment on more than 55 thousand seats in 23 IITs, 32 NITs, 26 Triple ITs and other 38 Government Funded Institutes (GFTIs) across the country.


Registration & the choice filling for the counseling will began from 19 June at 10 am, which can be complete on 28 June till 5 pm. The mock seat allotment result will be declared on 25 June. Even after this, candidates can make changes in the choice filling. Second mock seat allotment result will be released on 27 June. The counseling for enrollment will be done in six rounds. The first round will be released on 30 June, the second round on 6 July, the third on 12 July, the fourth on 16 July, the fifth on 21 July and the sixth on 26 July.

After the sixth round, the nomination process will be adopted by CSAB on the remaining seats. The counseling will be conducted by JoSAA for the successful candidates of JEE Main and JEE Advanced. Admission to 23 IITs will be based on JEE Advanced rank. Whereas, Admission in the other colleges or institutes will be based on JEE Mains rank.


Make sure your seat till the 5th round


Anand Jaiswal, director of JEE exam expert Mentor EduServe, told that there will be two special rounds of counseling for IITs. Candidates have to confirm or leave the seat till the 5th round. If you don't do this, you will not get an opportunity in next year's JEE Advanced. Simultaneously, the children of overseas Indians will no longer get the benefit of SC, ST & OBC reservation in India. On the other hand, for the 6th phase, the last date to respond is 28 July. Seat relinquishment option (for NIT) – scheduled on 27 July. On the other hand, CSAB will enroll for the remaining seats in NIT from 29 to 31 July.

Got a chance to register after a ban of two years


Children of NRIs are taking the admission in all 114 technical colleges or institutions after a 2-year moratorium. The govt has amended its notification of 2021 following the court order. Applicants of international (overseas) Indians will get admission on the seats of Indian students only till year 2037. They will not achieve the benefit of reservation. In this class, only Divyang & girls will get reserved seats.
