JE will be placed in 545 Panchayats of UP latest news update 2023
Latest Updated 26/06/2023: The Urban Development Department is going to make such arrangements that Nagar Panchayats will not have to work with junior engineers on loan. One junior engineer will be arranged in all 545 Nagar Panchayats of the state. These will be kept on outsourcing basis or new recruitments will be done, approval will be taken soon from the higher level.

At present, most of the Nagar Panchayats do not have Junior Engineers. Due to this, the executive officers have to take the help of other departments for making proposals related to development work. In some Nagar Panchayats, junior engineers from other departments have been appointed, due to which there is a possibility of disturbances. A meeting was held in this regard at the government level last days. Half-incomplete proposals related to development work coming from the local bodies were discussed. Most of the Nagar Panchayats do not have their own engineers. Due to this, other departments have to take help to get DPR made.
