The High Court heard the petition challenging the order to cancel the list of successful candidates in the year 2022 examination

Latest Updated 10/06/2023: The High Court heard on Friday the petition challenging the order to cancel the list of successful candidates in the Forest Inspector Recruitment Examination held in the year 2022.

After hearing the matter, the single bench directed the Subordinate Services Selection Commission to check the complete details of each candidate included in the successful list of the online examination and submit its report within 15 days. 

During the hearing, the single bench asked the advocate of the Commission and the agency whether the complete details of the successful candidates can be checked in the online examination? The date of July 5 has been fixed for the next hearing in the matter. However, the High Court has not stayed the offline examination of forest inspector recruitment to be held on June 11.


A single bench of Judge Justice Ravindra Maithani heard the petition of Nidhi Joshi, a resident of Udhamsinghnagar district, and others. It said that the online examination for 316 posts of Forest Inspector was conducted by the National Stock Exchange Information Technology Agency. The physical examination of the candidates included in the selected list made in June 2022 was also completed.


The selected list was canceled on 30 December 2022 after allegations of using unfair means in the examination. On this the applicants have challenged this order.


The Chairman of Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission GS Martolia has clarified that the forest inspector exam to be held on Sunday will remain the same. He told that the High Court has sought information from the police regarding the process of identifying the candidates accused of cheating in the canceled examination separately from other candidates. The court has not made any comment on the fresh examination going to be held on Sunday. Due to this, the above examination will be completed between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. as per the schedule. For this till Friday more than 30 thousand admit cards have been downloaded. For this, examination centers have been set up in eight districts. All the preparations for the examination have been done.
