Latest Updated 23/06/2023: Due to non-finalization of seniority list of AE-Electrical Mechanical in Jal Nigam, the promotion of engineers is getting delayed. If the situation remains the same, promotions will not be possible till June 30.
It was rejected by Secretary Drinking Water due to a dispute in the seniority list issued before the Jal Nigam headquarters. Headquarters has to issue a fresh list. Objections-suggestions will be taken after the release of the provisional seniority list. Now this process seems to be taking time. If the process is not completed in a week, the promotions of the engineers will not be possible till 30 June and due to this the promotions are bound to hang.
Resentment is increasing among engineers. On the other hand, MD Udayaraj said, Chief Engineer Headquarters has been asked to finalize the seniority list soon. Promotions will be done as soon as the seniority is finalised.
