Latest Updated 12/06/2023: A ban has been imposed on the appointment of teachers in aided primary divisions affiliated to aided junior high schools across the state. The government had received a complaint that the managers of these schools are recruiting against the rules for the purpose of benefiting the relatives.


The Director of Basic Education had written a letter to the government on March 15 requesting to ban this type of recruitment. On which the special secretary of the government Hrishikesh Dubey has ordered to ban the appointment on June 6 to the Director of Basic Education. After this, on June 8, instructions have been given by Additional Director of Education (Basic) Anil Bhushan Chaturvedi to ban recruitment to all Divisional Joint Directors of Education and Basic Education Officers.

3049 aided junior high schools are operating in Uttar Pradesh. Recruitment of teachers in aided primary schools affiliated to them is done according to the Uttar Pradesh Recognized Basic School Rules, 1975. The action to amend the rules is under consideration. Therefore, not only recruitment has been banned, but if the selection process is proposed, orders have been given not to complete it.
