Breaking News: All Hindi films banned from today in protest against Adipurush in Kathmandu Nepal
Latest Updated 19/06/2023: Resentment has increased in Nepal over the controversial dialogue of the film Adipurush. Expressing deep objection to Sita being described as the daughter of India in Adipurush, Kathmandu Mayor Balen Shah has demanded a ban on the film's exhibition in Nepal.
Balen Shah has written to Nepal's Minister of Communications and Information Technology, requesting that the screening of the film be banned in Nepal until the controversial dialogue is removed. In view of his tough attitude, the screening of all Hindi films has been stopped in Kathmandu from Monday. A top official made this announcement on Sunday.
