Breaking News: 10 kg gold missing from Pashupatinath temple Kathmandu Nepal, premises closed
Latest Updated 26/06/2023: 10 kg of gold has gone missing from the famous Pashupatinath temple. The temple was closed for devotees on Sunday after Mjankari.
Nepal's top anti-corruption body has taken control of the temple complex for investigation. At the same time, the army has been deployed in the premises. According to sources, the temple will remain closed till midnight.
According to reports, a gold ornament called Jalahari was installed around the Shivling on the Shivratri festival last year. The Pashupati Area Development Authority claimed that it had bought 103 kilogram of gold to make the Jalhari but 10 kilogram of gold was missing from jewellery.
