Those with BE-BTech will be able to become teachers in higher secondary schools. They will need a post graduation or diploma in any discipline with BE and B.Tech. But, B.Ed is not mandatory. Physics/Electronics/Computer/Chemistry/Statistics with Mathematics for class 9 to 10 at Graduation level OR Graduation in Engineering with specialization in Mathematics. At the same time, should have studied Zoology and Botany and Chemistry or graduate in engineering with science specialization. SC / ST, Extremely Backward and Backward Classes and Divyang will be given a relaxation of 5 marks in the minimum qualifying marks.

According to the notification issued by Sanjay Kumar, Joint Secretary of the Department, provision related to age relaxation has been prescribed in Rule-5 (V) of the School Teacher (Appointment, Transfer, Disciplinary Action and Service Conditions) Rules, 2023. This decision will benefit a large number of candidates.
