Patna High Court (PHC) judges will take oath in Raj Bhavan latest news update 2023
Latest Updated 14/05/2023: For the first time in the history of Patna High Court, a judge will be sworn in at Raj Bhavan. Telangana High Court Judge Justice Annireddy Abhishek Reddy has been transferred to Patna High Court.
Justice Reddy is to be administered the oath under the Constitution before he takes over as a judge of the Patna High Court on Monday. Earlier, with the permission of the Governor, the Chief Justice used to administer the oath to the High Court Judge in the High Court premises, while the Chief Justice of the High Court used to be administered the oath of office and secrecy by the Governor in the Raj Bhavan.

The governor will administer the oath on Monday morning. For the first time, Justice Annireddy, who came to the Patna High Court after being transferred from the Telangana High Court, received a letter from the High Court seeking permission from the Governor for the oath, then the Governor asked for the oath to be administered at the Raj Bhavan.
After this, the swearing-in ceremony of Justice Reddy is being organized at the Raj Bhavan itself. The Governor will administer him the oath on Monday morning.
