Latest Updated 09/05/2023: Jewelery worth Rs 7 lakh went missing from the purse of Vijaya Lakshmi Kumari, a woman who had gone for a facial at a beauty parlor located at Rajiv Nagar Road No-6 on Saturday. Police is engaged in investigation by registering a case in Rajiv Nagar police station on the complaint. The woman is a resident of Rajiv Nagar Road No. 25B. Her husband Deepak Kumar is posted as Assistant in AN College.


In fact, the victim Vijaya Lakshmi along with husband Deepak Kumar and son was going home after taking out her jewelery from the Punjab National Bank branch on Boring Road. Meanwhile, she went to the beauty parlor to get facial done. According to the woman, they kept the purse on the parlor counter. There was a gold necklace, tika, chain and earrings in it.

02 girls suspected of missing jewelry from beauty parlor

While she was doing her facial, two girls came into the parlor and stood near the counter for a long time. After talking to the beauty parlor operator, both of them left. After the facial, when the woman picked up the purse to pay, her chain was already open and all the jewelry was missing. The girls in the parlor are suspected of theft.

Case on reapplying


Deepak alleges that he had given some other application in the police station regarding the missing ornaments. But, on Sunday, he got a call from the police station. Then asked to make changes in the application. After giving application again, FIR was registered.


Had to go to my brother's wedding


Deepak told that his wife had taken out jewelery from the bank locker to go to her brother's wedding. Could not go to Tilak on 7th May. There is not even a CCTV camera inside the beauty parlor so that it can be known who has removed the jewellery.
