Latest Updated 28/05/2023: A case has been registered against two including Sumit Kumar, who was selected for the post of Rural Development Officer (RDO) in the BPSC 66th Combined Competitive Examination, for cheating in the examination of headmaster in secondary schools. In last year's education department examination, Sumit appeared in place of another candidate Ratnesh Kumar. The matter came to light after a letter was received in this regard. After the investigation proved to be a forgery, the BPSC complained about it to the secretariat police station. The police have registered a case of forgery and are trying to arrest the accused.


BPSC branch officer Pradeep Kumar has lodged a police complaint against Sumit Kumar and head teacher candidate Ratnesh Kumar. It is written in the letter that on May 31, 2022, the examination for the post of headmaster was taken by the education department. The result was declared in June, 2022. Ratnesh Kumar was declared successful in the examination. Meanwhile, it was learned through a letter sent by a person that Sumit Kumar, a resident of Raghunathpur village of Triveniganj, had given the exam instead of Ratnesh Kumar. Sumit has already been selected for the post of RDO. Ratnesh has achieved success by forgery.

The Commission formed a two-member team of Deputy Secretary Dr. Manoj Kumar Jha and Kundan Kumar for the investigation. Both the accused were directed to remain present in the office. But both did not turn up for the investigation. After this the suspicion deepened and the officials got the Iris Capturing and Facial Recognition and the photo matched on the date of examination. It came to know that Sumit had given the exam instead of Ratnesh. The signature on the OMR sheet matched with the handwriting of Sumit. On being proved to be a forgery, a police complaint was lodged against the accused. A case was registered in this regard at the Secretariat police station on 26 May.
