Latest Updated 21/05/2023: The matter related to the defamation case against Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav will be heard on 12 June in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate in Ahmedabad.
The case pertains to the alleged use of the word thug by Tejashwi Yadav for Gujarati people in the viral video. During the hearing, three witnesses were produced in the court. The case was registered on April 26. In the first hearing, the statement of the petitioner was recorded on 1 May. It is known that the Chief Judicial Magistrate of Surat had convicted former Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi in a defamation case over his Modi surname remark.
Subsequently, the Congress leader was disqualified as a Lok Sabha MP.
