2100 teachers will be recruited on honorarium in Sanskrit School Lucknow latest news update 2023
Latest Updated 06/05/2023: Till the regular teachers are reinstated, 2100 teachers will be hired on honorarium in the residential Sanskrit schools which are going to be opened in every mandal of the state. It is also being considered to take the services of retired teachers so that there is no disturbance in studies. Along with this, 1700 Sanskrit teachers posted on contract will be re-selected.
The appointment of Sanskrit teachers will be done through the Board of Secondary Sanskrit Education. The Council itself will now do the work of solving the problems of the teachers from the works related to their teaching work.
According to the system till now, teachers have been recruited for Sanskrit schools from the Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Service Selection Board. It is expected to take a long time, so the government now wants to give the responsibility of appointing teachers for Sanskrit schools to the Sanskrit Education Council.
There is also a screw in this. To give authority to the council, it will have to be passed by both the houses after taking a decision from the cabinet. This process will also take some time. In such a situation, a new way has been found that before the start of new schools, teachers should be kept on honorarium.

- There are 973 aided and 2 government schools in Sanskrit schools.
- All were affiliated to Sampurnanand University before 2000.
- In the year 2000, UP Sanskrit Education Council was formed.
- Sanskrit schools were affiliated to the council.
Apart from appointment of teachers on contract, proposals have also been sent to the cabinet for renewal of contract of teachers who were on contract till March 31. After the code of conduct is over, the appointment on honorarium and contract will start.
