Two colleges suspended 11 rowdy students in Premnagar Dehradun latest news update 2023
Latest Updated 24/04/2023: Two educational institutions in Premnagar suspended 11 students on the basis of police reports. These students have other criminal cases registered against them including assault. This action was taken so that the atmosphere does not get spoiled.
Four cases against 13 rowdy students in Premnagar
According to Premnagar Police Station President PD Bhatt, instructions were given by DIG Dalip Singh Kunwar to take strict action against those students studying in educational institutions who are involved in criminal activities. In this sequence, Premnagar police registered four cases against 13 rowdy students. Seven accused were arrested. Apart from this, challan action was taken against 11 unruly students. Within a week, the police also took action against 66 rowdy students under the Motor Vehicles Act on charges of speeding and stunting.
The police identified such students and sent reports to their colleges as well. Bhatt said that taking cognizance of this, University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) has suspended five students and Uttaranchal University has suspended six students. Educational institutions have also called the parents of the students for talks.
