10 thousand survey personnel will be recruited in Bihar latest news update 2023
Latest Updated 12/04/2023: 10,000 survey personnel will be appointed in the state. Its process has started. This information was given by Revenue and Land Reforms Minister Alok Kumar Mehta. He was having a monthly review meeting of the land survey with the top officials of the department. He told that after the survey is over, the work of consolidation will also be taken up with these personnel. Presently, land survey work is going on in 4945 places in 89 circles of 20 districts of Bihar, for which 208 camps have been set up. Out of these 4945, land survey work has been completed in 375 Maujs. Khatian and map have been finally published here. Till now the draft has been published in more than 1000 towns and villages.
The Revenue and Land Reforms Minister also said that the land survey is going to have a big impact on the revenue and law and order situation of the entire state. For this reason, this work is in the priority of the state government. He himself will review the progress of its work every month. In this, 5 settlement officers-assistant settlement officers will be honored for doing better work. He also warned those obstructing the government's plan and said that those found guilty would be removed from work and new people would be appointed in their place.
Additional Chief Secretary of the department Brajesh Mehrotra was present in the meeting. On the basis of the finally published survey Khatian and map, all the works of the zone including filing-rejecting will be done in the coming time. The survey will be used as register-2 in Khatian circle. All the works of the zone including admission-rejection, measurement of land will be settled on this basis. After the survey, the rent will also be determined afresh and all the further process will also be done online.

The minister warned the lax officers
The minister also gave a stern warning to the lax officers. He announced to identify and punish those who do bad work. In the meeting, the minister expressed his displeasure over the actions of several officers. He directed the Department's Secretary cum Director of Land Records and Measurement Jai Singh to issue show cause notices to all such officers. Said that if his answers are not satisfactory, he will be removed from the post. The minister got enraged over the work of the settlement officer of Araria. Araria's Settlement Officer is accused of harassing his subordinates and not being able to get them to work according to the standards set. Due to this, expected progress is not being made in the important work like land survey in the district. Now the Directorate of Land Records and Measurement will give them a show cause notice.
