UP KGBV: Direct admission of girl students in GGIC latest news update 2023
Latest Updated 07/04/2023: Eighth pass girl students of Kasturba Gandhi Residential School will not have to visit schools for admission in class 9. Admission of all girl students will be direct in Government Girls Inter College and Government Inter College. In schools where hostels are available, girl students will get the facility to stay. Governor Anandi Ben Patel had instructed the education department officials to admit all girl students of Class VIII to Class IX in a program organized at Kasturba Vidyalaya in Chinhat in March.
BSA Arun Kumar told that about 200 girl students have passed class eight in eight Kasturba residential schools in Lucknow. Admission of all girl students will be done in the nearest Government Inter College. Principals of Kasturba Vidyalaya are instructed to help in admission of girl students of class 9th. DIOS Rakesh Kumar Pandey has also written a letter to the principals for the admission of girl students.
There are eight Kasturba Gandhi residential schools in rural areas of Lucknow. The process of getting 9th admission of about 200 girl students who have passed Class VIII of these schools in the nearest Government Girls College and Government Inter College has been started.
