Bihar Teacher Recruitment process by BPSC till June latest news update 2023
Latest Updated 23/04/2023: The proposal for salary fixation for the recruitment of new teachers is under consideration with the Finance Department. Discussions are also being conduct with the General Administration Department regarding their service conditions. The salary of new teachers can be higher by 10 to 15% than the existing employed teachers. The process of finalizing the proposal will began only after getting consent from there. Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Deepak Kumar Singh has asked for roster clearance from the level of Regional Deputy Director of Education for the remaining vacant posts related to the recruitment of Principal in high schools.
Under the new rules, the blueprint for the recruitment of teachers in state govt schools has been prepared. Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) is preparing to take out advertisements regarding the recruitment of teachers in June. In this regard, the education department will send information about posts to them this week. Both employed teachers & teacher applicants waiting for the recruitment will appear in the examination conducted for the recruitment. The teachers to be recruited will be from the district cadre.

The education department has received information about posts from almost all the districts. After the vacancies come from the remaining 7 districts, in the next 2 to 3 days, the education department will start further action after collecting the entire information about the vacancies. In this sequence, necessary changes will be made in the vacancies according to the new standards. It will again be sent to districts to prepare according to the roster. After this, the education department will finalize the vacancies & send the demand for recruitment to BPSC. On this basis, BPSC will take out the vacancy for the recruitment.
At present, churning is going on in the state for the reinstatement of more than 2 lakh teachers. Regarding this, the top officials of the education department have also conduct a meeting with the BPSC. It explains the complete recruitment process. Now, department is working accordingly. Every aspect is being discussed before sending the vacancy to the BPSC.
The recruitment includes the posts of 80000 elementary teachers, 1.20 lakh secondary & higher secondary teachers. Along with this, 1 lakh vacancies of computer teachers, physical teachers & non-teaching staff are also to be recruited. Although there is a possibility of increase in the vacancy of teachers up to 10000.
Headmasters and cooks will taste food before children in schools
The state govt has made it compulsory for the headmaster and the cook to taste the mid-day meal before serving it to children in all schools. Satish Chandra Jha which is the PM Nutrition Scheme Director has asked all the districts to ensure its compliance. In the letter sent to the District Program Officers, it was also said that the food will be served to the children only after 1/2 (half) an hour of tasting. Before this, the person tasting the food will mark the quality & taste of the food in the register there. After many complaints, the department has made it compulsory.
