344 Para Teachers of Jharkhand fake in certificate verification, action on 57 teachers latest news update 2023
Latest Updated 26/04/2023: The verification of the certificates of para teachers (assistant teachers) of Jharkhand is still going on. Out of 61,141 para teachers, the verification of certificates of 56,837 has been completed, while the verification of certificates of 4834 teachers is still underway.
In the investigation conducted so far, a total of 344 mercury teachers have been found fake. Of these, action has been taken only on 57. This has been revealed from the report of the Education Department. The Education Department has directed all the districts to take immediate action against such teachers and submit a report. According to the report of the education department, 243 para teachers in the state are doing jobs on the basis of fake certificates. Their matriculation, intermediate, graduation or certificate of training (B.Ed-D.El.D) is fake. At the same time, 30 para teachers resigned during the certificate verification itself. Apart from these, 59 Para educations were reinstated unethically and 12 had criminal cases. Instructions have been given to remove all such mercury teachers.
No action yet on two BEEOs, Education Secretary K. Ravi Kumar had directed to take departmental action against two block education extension officers of Giridih district. Despite this, departmental action has not been initiated against them till now. The Education Secretary has expressed displeasure over this and has set up a class for the District Education Officer of Giridih. He clearly said that immediate action should be taken on both the BEEOs.
Need to take quick action Education Secretary
If we look at the reports of action from the districts, so far only 57 para teachers have been dismissed and removed from service. Education Secretary K. Ravi Kumar has said that the mercury teachers whose certificates have been found to be fake have not been removed yet. There is a need to take early action on this. If by mistake the name of a para teacher with a wrong certificate has been mentioned in the assessment test in any district, then the information will be given to the Jharkhand Education Project Council. After this the name of that teacher will be removed from the assessment test.
Most reinstated in Giridih on wrong certificate
In Jharkhand, maximum 60 para teachers were found reinstated in Giridih with wrong certificates. Whereas, 51 in Koderma, 26 in Ranchi, 20-20 in Ramgarh, Hazaribagh, 18 in Sahibganj, 17-17 in Deoghar-Pakur, 14 in Bokaro, 13 in East Singhbhum, 11-11 in Garhwa-Lohardaga, Seraikela in Kharsawan. 10 mercury teachers reinstated on wrong certificates. Apart from this, nine teachers in Latehar, eight in Palamu, seven in Dhanbad, six each in Chatra-Khunti, four each in Dumka-Gumla-West Singhbhum have been found working with wrong certificates.
