Latest Updated 18/03/2023: Group D recruitment conducted by the Uttarakhand Board of Technical Education Roorkee (UBTER) may also be under scrutiny. The names of two people selected from this recruitment have also appeared in the Patwari recruitment of the Public Service Commission. Because of which the High Court has sent the matter to the government for investigation.


UBTER had started the recruitment process for 37 Group D posts in Court in 2018. Due to many controversies, its written examination was conducted in February 2020. While the selected were given appointment in 2021. Meanwhile, during the investigation of paper leak in Uttarakhand Public Service Commission Haridwar's Patwari recruitment exam, two such people have also been found who have been identified for cheating, who have been selected in Group D recruitment in the past.

The Public Service Commission has already debarred both of them from the upcoming examinations along with other accused. Due to this, questions are also being raised on Group D. According to sources, taking cognizance of this, the High Court has directed the Uttarakhand government to hand over the investigation of this matter to the SIT probing the recruitment case. The government can soon issue its formal orders.

In the state, investigations are already underway on different recruitment examinations conducted by Public Service Commission, Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission, Pantnagar University. Now another recruitment examination agency can tighten the screws on the recruitment of UBTER as well. Prior to the formation of UKTripleSC, Group C recruitments were mainly done by UBTER, despite the questions being raised on the working of UBTER, till now the investigation had not come. But now UBTER can also be tightened.
