Latest Updated 05/03/2023: The possibility of increasing the retirement age of teachers working in state universities and aided colleges from 62 years to 65 years has increased.
The state govt is going to consider this issue. State's Higher Education Minister Yogendra Upadhyay has called a departmental review meeting on 13 March, in which this is also an issue.
Agenda issued in the meeting Girijesh Kumar Tyagi, Special Secretary, Department of Higher Education issued the agenda of this meeting to be chaired through the Higher Education Minister by sending a letter to the departmental officers on 4 March that means Saturday.
Guidelines for conducting student union elections by some state universities in the exercise of student union elections, organization of written examination for the advertised 1107 posts of assistant professors, DPC for promotion of assistant professors and assistant registrars in new colleges Consideration of issues related to setting standards of LLB courses, filling academic posts in state universities, sending requisitions for class III vacancies to the Subordinate Services Selection Commission, inter-departmental transfers etc. will be done.

The recruitment of spokesperson in 4512 aided secondary schools of UP will end the system of interview. At present, the recruitment of lecturers in govt inter colleges is done on the basis of preliminary & mains examination, while the recruitment of lecturers in aided secondary schools is done by written examination & interview.
