Jharkhand Health Department Recruitment 2023: 126 assistant professors will be recruited in medical colleges latest news update
Latest Updated 25/03/2023: Health Department is going to start the process of appointment of Assistant Professor. According to Health Minister Banna Gupta, 126 posts of assistant professors are vacant in medical colleges, for which requisition has been sent to Jharkhand Public Service Commission.
Explain that in view of the shortage of medical teachers, the National Medical Council may ban admission in five medical colleges of the state. Efforts are being made by the Health Department for the last two years for appointment to senior posts, but the government is not getting doctors. In view of this, the recruitment exercise has been started. It may also be mentioned that MLA Pradeep Yadav also raised the issue of vacant posts of medical teachers in the medical colleges of the state in the budget session of the Vidhansabha. Then the Health Minister had also accepted that due to lack of medical teachers in the said medical colleges, there is a problem in continuing the recognition.

Doctors are not available despite advertisement four times
The process of giving promotion to medical teachers working in medical colleges has also been started. Under this, the qualified Assistant Professor will be promoted to the post of Associate and Associate to the post of Professor. Let us tell you that on February 05, your own newspaper Hindustan had published a news titled Crisis on recognition of Medical Colleges, Health Department Race. It was told that 161 posts of Professor and Associate Professor (Associate Professor 72 and Professor 89) are vacant in NMMCH Dhanbad, MGMCH Jamshedpur, Phulo Jhano Medical College Dumka, Medini Rai Medical College Palamu and Sheikh Bhikhari Medical College Hazaribagh.
If these posts are not appointed soon, then the National Medical Council may ban admission in these five medical colleges from the new session.
The Health Minister said that to meet the shortage of professors and associate professors, four times in the years 2021 and 2022, contract-based appointment action was taken. In this, it has been notified to get the services of 69 medical teachers. Contract based appointment rules 2021 have been formed. In this, a monthly honorarium of 2.5 lakh is fixed for the professor and 2 lakh for the associate professor. Despite this, interest is not being shown by the doctors.
