On the other hand, the State Government challenged the order of the High Court in the Supreme Court. In the meantime, the government passed the 30 percent horizontal reservation law for local women in government jobs through the Legislative Assembly. After the approval of the Raj Bhavan, it has now taken the form of law.

The Public Service Commission has conducted the Mains Exam from 23rd to 26th February. Sources in the commission said that admit cards have already been sent to about 1,500 external women candidates. But now due to changing circumstances, the existing law will be implemented in this examination. The commission has called a meeting on this on February 8. On the other hand, BJP leader Ravindra Jugran said that after the enactment of the Act, the officers of the commission will now have to make changes in the merit list. Otherwise, a separate strategy will be made for this.
