Latest Updated 20/02/2023: Online applications will now be taken for recognition of schools in Jharkhand. Under the Compulsory Child Education Officer Rules, earlier institutions had to apply offline. After this, action was taken from the district level to the headquarters level. It also took more time.
Now the Department of School Education and Literacy has decided to take online application to bring more transparency in it. Secretary, Department of School Education & Literacy, K.K. Ravi Kumar has provide instructions to all the districts for this.
In the instructions given to the District Education Officer and District Education Superintendents, he has made it clear that online applications should be taken from institutions for recognition under Compulsory Child Education Rights Rules. Those institutes who have applied and their proposal for recognition is pending, then their applications should be made online on the ITE portal. For this, the changed password will be made available to the districts.
Instructions for the dismissal of the teacher, Education Secretary K.K. Ravi Kumar said that in Garhwa and other districts, where more than one marriage has been done by a teacher and more than one wife is alive, action should be taken for dismissal of that teacher by adopting the prescribed procedures in such cases. The latest case has come of a teacher from Garhwa district.

School's recognition process will be completed in time
Due to the online application, now the process related to recognition of the school will be completed within a fixed time limit. After giving online application, DEO-DSE will inspect the school in due time. They will see whether the school is living up to the prescribed standards or not. Accordingly, at the district level, they will give their opinion online and will also submit the report. After this, the final seal related to recognition will be put by the concerned Directorate of Primary Education or Directorate of Secondary Education.
Teachers will be suspended only on criminal cases
The Education Secretary has directed all districts to suspend assistant teachers only on criminal cases. On other matters, the teachers have been asked to ensure departmental action. The Education Secretary has told other officials including the DSE of Hazaribagh that for indiscipline and negligence in departmental action, departmental action should be taken against the assistant teachers, not suspension.
