The state government had to take a decision after the budget session of 2022 regarding the pay scale, but the budget session of 2023 is going to start from the end of this month, but till now not a single meeting has been held on this. Mercury teachers are getting mobilized again on this and have started making strategy of the movement. The process of checking the certificates of about 61 thousand mercury teachers of the state itself started from April 2022, which is still going on. Still the certificates of all para teachers have not been verified. Because of this, mercury teachers are not able to apply for the assessment exam.

The assessment test has been delayed. Due to this, assistant teachers have been deprived of the benefit of 10 per cent honorarium. The certificates of all para teachers have still not been verified for the assessment test. Such mercury teachers should also get a chance to apply. Later, after investigation, action should be taken if the certificate is found to be forged.
Honorarium to increase by 10 percent after assessment exam
Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has to take the assessment test of para teachers. Its applications will be filled by 10 February. Meanwhile, the practical examination of matriculation and intermediate in high and plus two schools of the state will also start from February 7, written examinations will be held from March 14. These exams will run till April 5. In such a situation, the possibility of taking the assessment test of mercury teachers is less. In April-May, along with evaluation of matriculation-inter copies, there will be 8th, 9th and 11th board exams. During this time only, the first assessment test of mercury teachers can be organized someday.
The certificates of all 61,000 mercury teachers of Jharkhand are under scrutiny, but 14,000 Tet pass teachers will not have to appear for the assessment test. Only 47 thousand para teachers trained without TET will appear in the assessment test. On passing, their honorarium will be increased by 10 percent. From January 1, 2022, the honorarium of Tet pass para teachers was increased by 50 percent and the remaining para teachers were increased by 40 percent.
Now, if they pass the assessment test, then 10 percent increase will be given on the basis of the honorarium of that time.
