Latest Updated 11/02/2023: The state government has decided to get the Patwari recruitment exam leak investigated under the supervision of a High Court judge. The government has rejected the demand for a CBI inquiry, saying that the High Court has already rejected this option.

498 centers set up in the state for Patwari exam The commission has set up 498 centers in the state for the Patwari-Lekhpal recruitment exam. 158210 candidates have applied online for the exam. Maximum 72 examination centers have been made in Dehradun. The least seven examination centers have been made in Bageshwar.

It has been decided to include copyists in the Patwari recruitment examination being conducted by the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission on February 12. However, the Commission has issued notices to the copyists, asking them to explain the allegations leveled against them within 15 days. Only after getting the clarification, further action will be taken against the duplicitous candidates. Police investigation has confirmed cheating of 44 candidates in Patwari recruitment exam. In this regard, the Commission has been informed by writing a letter on behalf of the SSP. The list of 44 copycats provided by the police to the Commission will be uploaded on the website of the Commission. Commission's secretary Girdhari Singh Rawat said that after issuing notices to all these copycats, they have sought clarification in 15 days.
