Increase in honorarium of JEPC employees from 3000 to 12000 latest news update 2023
Latest Updated 26/02/2023: The honorarium of the workers of Jharkhand Education Project Council has been increased. The honorarium has been increased from three to 12 thousand. There was no increase in the honorarium for the last 3 years. At the same time, the honorarium of 1234 workers of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Residential Schools has also been increased by 20 percent. 3600 has been increased from this. The Department of School Education and Literacy has issued instructions in this regard.
1150 education project workers of the state were demanding salary on the lines of Bihar. Also, there was a demand for a similar hike in the annual DA, but a 30 per cent hike in their honorarium. Its demand was going on since 2020, but in February 2023 there was an increase in honorarium and it was implemented from January 2023. The project workers of the state are now preparing for the movement. In Bihar, their equivalent officers and workers are getting 80 times more amount.
Also, their honorarium should be increased every year at par with the annual DA. These demands were not considered by the government.

Karstuba workers will also get benefits
Out of 1421 sanctioned posts of 203 Karasturba Gandhi Balika Residential Schools of the state, the honorarium of 1234 personnel has been increased. There are 176 accountants, 337 night watchmen, 176 cooks and 545 assistant cooks working in these schools. At present, the accountant gets Rs 18,000, the night watchman Rs 12,000, the cook Rs 12,500 and the assistant cook gets Rs 6,000
as honorarium. It has been increased by 20 percent. With effect from September 1, 2022, the benefit of honorarium hike will be available. They will also be paid its arrears.
25 additional girl students will be enrolled
From the new academic session 2023-24 in Kasturba Gandhi Girls Schools, there will be additional enrollment of 25 girl students in each class. 25-25 additional seats have been allotted for classes VI to XII. With this, 175 more girl students will be enrolled in each school.
