Latest Updated 20/01/2023: Through Bihar Public Service Commission, 46124 appointments will be made in the state. The process has been started for this. The commission has added new vacancies of various departments. These include the reinstatement of 659 super specialty doctors in state hospitals. At the same time, 29 posts of Assistant Director of Forensic Science Lab have also been added. This year vacancies are likely to come from many other departments as well.

It is expected that by March this figure will cross 50 thousand by including new and old vacancies. The commission will conduct a total of 53 examinations for different appointments. The maximum number of vacancies are of head teachers in primary schools, where 40506 appointments will be made. The matter regarding amendment in the appointment rules of head teachers is pending in the court. Because of this, the commission has not released the new date of the exam.

However, earlier the commission had released the exam date twice. More than two thousand appointments are to be made in different departments of state-owned engineering colleges. Around 334 posts will be filled through 68th. There are 553 vacancies for Prosecution Officer and 373 for Auditor. Town Planning Supervisor 107 and Assistant Audit Officer 138 appointments are to be made.

Commission Secretary Ravi Kumar told that at present there are more than 46 thousand vacancies. Vacancies are likely to come from some other departments in the coming times. In such a situation there can be 50 thousand vacancies. The Commission is engaged in preparing to conduct all the examinations on time.
