Latest Updated 10/01/2023: It is necessary to pass separately in both practical and theory in CBSE's 12th annual examination. 10 marks are compulsory to pass the practical exam of 30 marks. To pass the theory exam of 70 marks, one should get 21 marks.


In class XII (12th), the subjects for which there is no practical examination, the internal assessment of those subjects is of 20 marks. It has Mathematics, Economics, History, Political Science etc. 7 marks are required to pass in the subjects of internal assessment. Whereas the annual examination of class X (10th) will be of 100 marks. There will be a theoretical assessment of 80 marks & an internal assessment of 20 marks. Theoretical and internal assessment are separate in Class 10th, but it is not mandatory for the students to pass in both. To pass in 10th, one should have 33 marks out of 100. Due to Corona disease, the examination of 2022 was taken in two terms. In this, term-1 of 50 syllabus & term-2 of 50 syllabus were taken.

This time the revised syllabus has already been put out by the board. In which subject, how many chapters & which topics will be there, the information about this has been provide by CBSE Board. CBSE board has also mentioned the chapters from which the questions will be asked. 


Change in question paper pattern


This time questions will be asked in 5 sections in each subject. It will have A, B, C, D, E sections. This is the first time that there will be 3 questions of case study in each subject. Apart from this, the no. of objective questions has also been increased. There has also been a change in the number of multiple choice questions. Mathematics teacher Sanjay Singh told that earlier there were options in objective type questions as well, but this time options have been inserted in short and long answer type questions only.


Students should study according to the syllabus. This time there will be a complete syllabus exam. In this condition, the marks for passing will also have to be brought in the same way.
